This project has been informed by many sources on the web, these may not be immediately obvious in the work but they have had much influence on my learning path, giving me a sudden gust forward in the right direction each time something was discovered, it's been really interesting;
Permaculture principals- So this is where people get their hand-outs from...I've always wondered!
Permaculture Global- It has been really inspiring to look around this site at people's blogs and projects, there are some good links to be made here and great websites to find
...like this one. ceciliamacaulay.com I found the personality of this site awesome and inspiring at a time when I wasn't sure I could do this on my own, a really well presented site from a lovely sounding lady across the world! This site is a great example of an accessible portfolio of permaculture designs and activities...I'll definitely take note of this when I make my 'shop front' site.
I read about right livelihood the eightfold path in a book by Bhikkhu Bodhi, here is a useful site that gives the basics
Ben Cameron's talk that I found on TED reignited my awareness of my deep intention to involve art in my future. I am pulled to creating art with and for people that makes a difference and forms a connection. He talks about the issues I was so passionate about at university, that there are artists now that work out of a "deep organic conviction that the work he/she is called to do can not be accomplished in the traditional hermetic arts environment" and invent a new paradigm for bringing issues and emotional intelligence into the public arena. This is what I believe in and want to be part of. This will definitely be a feature on my new site.
I found the online book by Richard about co-communication, a really interesting read. The Exponential spiral of well being I found particularly inspiring and encouraging for this project as it shows how embodying your ideals can be of benefit to all. This is what I'm about right now!
I hadn't spotted this online portfolio of Hedvig's before. There are not many complete online diploma portfolios out there so it is inspiring to find another good-un. Clear and informative. She lives in Brighton too, which is good news. It has also been hugely inspiring to be able to see the work of my fellow diploma-ites! If I'm feeling a bit behind I have a look at the others and feel supported seeing their journeys. Check out their work here.
